About Us
At present Defibrillators are not available locally within many Parishes surrounding Princes Risborough and ambulance response can be in excess of 12 minutes. It is a recognised fact that if treatment to stabilise a patient’s heart is provided quickly then the patient has a much improved chance of making a full recovery.
The Rural Defibrillator Project seeks to provide equipment for public use that can lessening the danger to life or life-changing consequences of heart failure. The charity was initially sponsored by Princes Risborough Golf Club and subsequently further local companies have joined us to help our cause. For example Risboro Garage have funded a defibrillator sited at the Fire Station in Princes Risborough, are funding an ambulance for the “Risboro First Responders” and are raising money for further defibrillators alongside of us. We are grateful for all of the help we can get.

What this means is that many Communities, in areas where ambulance response... read moreI was impressed by the model of great partnership you have demonstrated in your community. You saw the need for accessible defibrillators in your rural community, you had a vision, brought people together, raised significant funds and trained this team of invaluable experienced and skilled volunteers, the Community First Responders. You then set out your stall to go one better and provide your volunteer team with a customised car and amazingly achieved this in three months due to the community engagement.
