The last few months have been a period of consolidation enabling us to concentrate on identifying new sites and fund raising. We now have seven sites fully installed with a further six in various stages of progression.
Fund raising was significantly helped by our Golf day hosted by Princes Risborough Golf Club and sponsored by Risboro’ Garage. The event was attended by over 50 players and raised £3000. A great day all round.
We are also grateful for the support of the KOP Hill Climb who have donated to our funds to enable more units to be placed in the Risborough area. Their support together with that of The Heart of Bucks will go a long way to seeing Princes Risborough better placed to deal with those life threatening situations for which Defibrillators are designed to help.
Our thanks also goes to Cllr Clive Harris who has donated part of his Wycombe District Communities Leaders Fund towards the Longwick site.
We also have had tremendous support from the British Heart Foundation who help with awards from their own funds, and the new Government funding, which allows even more to be done.
The new sites under consideration are in Bryants Bottom, Longwick Naphill, Saunderton Railway Station and Princes Risborough (2) which we hope to see fully installed by the end of January 2016.
As we approach our first anniversary as a charity we are starting to plan for our AGM in the New Year. Everybody who has helped us to achieve an excellent first year is welcome and will receive an invitation to this important event so please watch out for your invitation.
