This month we have taken delivery of three more Defibrillators for Longwick, Bryants Bottom and Naphill. This brings our total to eleven for the year with several more in the pipeline. We have been helped considerably by the British Heart Foundation who have fully funded two units and part funded the Defibrillator for Bryants Bottom. Our thanks go to Hughenden Parish Council; Hughenden Residents Association and Wycombe District Councillor Steve Broadbent all of whom have generously donated funding to enable the Public Access Defibrillator and Cabinet for Bryants Bottom to be provided. With the funding raised through the 2015 Golf day we have been able to purchase a ten year ‘worry free’ support package from Wel Medical for each of our units so extending the cover for our defibrillators. Our thanks go to the Bucks Housing Charity in Speen for the grant to help fund the cost for the Speen unit.

Princes Risborough will now be the focus for us over the next few months with a further five more units under consideration in various stages of progression. Our thanks here go to Councillors Alan Turner and Clive Harris for their valuable contributions. These together with the funding provided by the Heart of Bucks /Kop Hill Climb and Risborough Rangers Junior Football Club will enable us to complete the installations by the summer.

Fund raising is very important so our continued relationship with local business is key to our success. With the help of Princes Risborough Golf Club and Risboro’ Garage we are holding our second Invitation Golf Day on Thursday 24th March. If you would like to take part please contact Nick at the Club, 01844 346989.

We also have had tremendous support from the British Heart Foundation who have helped with awards from the Government funding for both Defibrillators and Cabinets. This funding is now exhausted so future awards will be limited to a contribution towards the defibrillator only.

As we approach our first anniversary as a Charity we are to hold our first AGM on Wednesday 13th April 2016. Everybody who has helped us to achieve an excellent first year is welcome and will receive an invitation to this important event so please watch out for your invitation.
