The Princes Risborough Project has again been the focus of our attention this month. Last month we reported the installation of our second unit funded from the grant given by the Heart of Bucks/Kop Hill Climb. This month we can report the installation of our third unit this time funded by Risborough Rangers Junior Football Club (RRJFC). The unit has been placed on the Risborough Community Centre facing the Wades Park Recreation Ground. Our thanks go to all those that contributed to the RRJFC fund raising and the Community Centre Trustees for agreeing to allow their building to host the installation.
In addition to these we are also progressing a second unit for Longwick and another in Monks Risborough.

Partnership is key in any Community Project and we have been fortunate to be able to work with two major players recently. The RAF Strike Command and TESCO have both been instrumental in making available their own Defibrillators to the public.

The RAF units are located in Walters Ash, one on their Domestic Site and the other at their Operational Site.

The unit provided by TESCO as part of an area initiative, is located at their Princes Risborough Store.  Please take some time to find out where the nearest unit is to you as you can never know when you may be called into action to save a life. All our units are logged on our web site

24 Hour Golf Challenge Raises £2000 for RDGC

‘Fund Raising’ is very important so our continued relationship with local business and organisations is key to our success. With the help of Princes Risborough Golf Club and a select team of golfers who completed a staggering 24 hour golf session completing 26 miles, 144 holes and 8 rounds of 18 holes.  They were led by the Manager, Nick Shaw and have raised over £2000 for our Charity.

Our thanks go to Nick Shaw, Neil Smuts, Tony Baul and Chris Butler for their efforts.

We are also grateful to TESCO in Princes Risborough who have been holding fundraising events for our Charity. They have raised £1,000 over the last few months by staging a series of events within the store.

Thanks again to all those who supported Risborough Rangers Junior Football Club who raised close to £2,000 for the Wades Park unit.

Awareness and confidence training has also continued to be provided with the help of the Princes Risborough First Responder team. An event has been held in Bryants Bottom with a future events planned for Walters Ash. Our thanks goes to Geoff Clark who has taken on this role for us.
